About me

ย My name is Allison and I am a graduate student at the University of Georgia. I’m trying this blogging thing with the purpose of creating a register of my exercise. After 5 years of teaching Zumba at least once a week, I’m now trying my hand at running and general physical fitness. That means reading lots of fitness advice and stepping out of my comfort zone (a lot). That’s what this blog is all about.

This is all relatively new for me… the blogging, the weight training, the miles and miles of running. What I noticed, as I gradually started increasing the frequency of my workouts and trying new formats, was that I really wanted a place to create a chronicle of all this hard physical labor. For me, so much about working out is charting my progress and looking back at how far I have come. That’s why I love running and that’s why blogging sounded like something I might like to do. So here goes…

Hiya Michelle! It’s no Thailand, but yes, I’m blogging about jogging. In fact, I’m a little embarrassed about my blogging. Nobody knows about it except the entire internet, Sergio, and my mom. And now you. ๐Ÿ™‚

Welcome to blogging! It’s addicting, no? Much like running. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Also, thanks for following my blog– I’m now following yours!

Very addicting on both counts. I’m hooked.

I love your blog(s), by the way. Beautiful graphics… and those twins. Cuter than cute! ๐Ÿ™‚

I haven’t actually gotten to that point yet, although I am coming close. I have a pair of Nike Frees that I will soon retire from the running circuit. However, since I also teach Zumba, I think they’ll still work for that purpose for some time to come. ๐Ÿ™‚

I think I’ll probably head to our local running store and get checked out to see what kind of shoes I “ought” to be in before I buy another pair. But yes, I really like the nike frees. They’re super light, but sturdy enough that I don’t have arch issues when I dance. Most of my thin soled shoes have given me arch cramps.

You mentioned someone would google Deborah Montgomery and find it useful to read how crappy the event was.. I am now that person. Great review!! LOL
